My watercolor journey began in 2010, inspired by a very talented commercial illustrator who was a dear friend. Prior to that, a busy career in advertising sales and marketing, owning an advertising agency as well as real estate investing kept me fully occupied. I had not done any drawing or painting in 34 years.

Throughout childhood and college, I enjoyed drawing and painting in
oils or acrylic. I was president of Farragut High School’s Art Club, winning several
student awards. I also studied art at Florida State University and received a B.A. in creative art in 1976, with a major in drawing and painting and a minor in art
history.

I am so thankful that I decided to pick up a paintbrush again! I am currently a member of Knoxville Watercolor Society, Tn. Watercolor Society, Fountain City Art Guild and the Oak Ridge Art Center.

Art has been my safe haven for joy, much exploration and
growth during the pandemic. Art provides us an opportunity to see the ordinary
in an extraordinary way and better appreciate the beauty in everyday life.
